At the invitation of the St Lucia Chamber of Commerce, LIME hosted a special evening of hospitality for members of the business community last Friday. Dubbed the Christmas Mixer, the event was held at the LIME Blue Coral Store and was also attended by several of LIME’s corporate customers. Country Manager, Sean Auguste was appointed as a director on the board of the Chamber of Commerce last month.
It was a relaxing evening of fun and entertainment during which the business executives got the opportunity to meet and socialize. As is customary with LIME, they were also given the opportunity to win prizes including BlackBerry handsets and free services. The store was beautifully decorated and filled with balloons with gift cards.
LIME Country Manager, Sean Auguste delivered the welcome address during which he praised his staff for their hard work throughout the year. He said LIME’s ongoing success was a direct result of their commitment and the loyalty and support of its valued customers.
“Our ambition is to achieve a prosperous future for the Caribbean and position it as a great place to live, work, invest and visit,” he assured his guests.
LIME Head of Corporate Sales, Cheryl Francis had her say as well. Against the backdrop of the global recession, she pointed out that LIME had moved aggressively from basic services to unleash the power of telecom and IT convergence in order to free up its customers to focus on making their business more competitive.
“The driving factor behind this change is our appreciation of the importance of working collaboratively with our customers and offering solutions that allow them to enjoy cost reductions without having to compromise on productivity and efficiency,” she added.
Among the attendees were officials of 1st National Bank and Bank of St Lucia. 1st National is among the first banks in the English-speaking Caribbean to offer its customers mobile banking services. Bank of St Lucia recently launched Swipe n’ Go, a service that makes it easy for businesses to process credit card payments. Both services are facilitated by LIME.
From all accounts, the Christmas Mixer was a big success and much appreciated by all.
