We should prevent before the fire happen, not to blame the firefighter for not doing the good job. Furthermore, we should plan to practice about fire, such as people walking away using stairs. By this, no people left in the fire. The firefighter tries to do better to maintain the building later.

CP has no idea what she is talking about. The firemen and staff of the hospital with their limited resources did a commendable job in containing the fire and saving so many lives of sick persons at the hospital. Our politicians spend to much time on unimportant things and allow basic needs and wants for the people to rot and decay.

im really disappointed with the comment made dat the fire fighters ddnt do a good job. if u dont know the hospital contains lots of chemicals and oxygen tanks and such that feed the fire. my neighbour was actually one of the men who died, i think he was 16 0r 17. he was a recovering victim of an accident and was immobile he cudnt walk, talk or anything and someone did try to save him but when they were about to there was an explosion and he cudnt get to the boy, also the boy was strapped dwn in the bed, don't know why but he was and for that he was burnt to death. now if you really think about it alot more ppl could have died, it could have been worse but the firefighters and the residents of vieux fort which i am from helped get ppl out so i am damn proud of them. also the pediatric ward could have gotten burnt meaning alot of kids and babies could have died. although three ppl died we need to be thankful that no more ppl did. americans remember 911 we will remember 9-9-9.. r.i.p jay(that was the name of the boy)

im disappointed with the way our so called firemen handled the situation at the st.judes's hospital fire .cuz as far as i know three persons were pronounced dead cause of the lack of efforts put into hepling.....i personally think they are not well trained to handle such a situation...if u ask me i believe dat a fireman's job is not only to put out fire but to help rescue anynone who might have been in danger .they should have known , making sure every patient or staff memeber were evacuated is their priority....and one more thing those persons who wants to be firemen should be aware of the risks that come with that kind of job....
